Tired of AI features you never asked for? Copilot popping up in Edge, AI Overview cluttering Google Search, Gemini suggestions appearing out of nowhere, shopping pop-ups on every product page?

Debloat gives you back control. One extension, three browsers, zero bloat.

What Debloat removes

  • AI features — hide Google AI Overview and AI Mode from search results. Block Copilot sidebar, "Help Me Write", Visual Search overlay, and text predictions in Edge. Disable Gemini suggestions and AI tab organization in Chrome. Remove AI chatbot sidebar, link previews, and tab group suggestions in Firefox. Prevent websites from accessing experimental Web AI APIs (window.ai).
  • Sponsored content — remove MSN news feed, sponsored tiles, and Spotlight recommendations from Edge new tab page. Hide Google Discover cards in Chrome. Block sponsored stories, recommended articles, and promoted top sites on Firefox Home.
  • Shopping tools (Edge) — disable Shopping Assistant, price comparison pop-ups, coupon notifications, and express checkout suggestions on retail websites.
  • Telemetry & tracking — block diagnostic data, usage reports, and crash reporting endpoints for all three browsers. Disable Firefox Studies (Shield experiments).
  • Annoyances — remove Microsoft Rewards prompts, "Set as default browser" nags, feature recommendation banners, DALL-E theme suggestions, "Edit with Acrobat" buttons, Bing redirect on Edge new tab search, and auto sign-in prompts.

How it works

Three layers of protection:

  1. Network-level blocking — intercepts requests to AI, telemetry, shopping, and ad endpoints before they reach the server. Uses the browser's built-in declarativeNetRequest API.
  2. CSS injection — hides unwanted UI elements instantly at page load, before they flash on screen.
  3. DOM monitoring — catches dynamically injected elements that appear after page load: pop-ups, floating widgets, overlays.

Features

  • 5 categories with 36 toggles — fine-grained control over every feature
  • 3 presets (Aggressive, Balanced, Minimal) — quick setup, one click
  • Per-site whitelist — allow specific features on sites you trust
  • Pause button — temporarily disable all blocking for one hour
  • Real-time counter — see how many elements are blocked on the current page
  • Activity log — inspect every blocked request and hidden element
  • Dark & light theme
  • Works on Google Search across 18 country domains
  • No admin rights — installs like any other extension
  • Open source
